Role Description

The Operations Manager will lead the KSA office, overseeing all in-country operations, including Sales & Business Development, Logistics, Contracts, and Payroll functions. The role requires a diverse skill set encompassing operational management, commercial knowledge, business development, and the ability to negotiate and develop strategic relationships at a senior level.

Principle Accountabilities:

Financial & Commercial Management:
  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the business unit, ensuring all budgeted financial KPI targets—including Headcount, Revenue, Gross Profit (GP), and EBITDA are met.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Ensure 100% fiscal and operational compliance in line with local regulations and company policies.
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:
  • Ensure effective management of the Government Relations Officer (GRO) function to maintain consistent Iqama availability for employees.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with governmental and statutory bodies, including Immigration and Tax offices, to ensure compliance with all local regulations.
  • Manage nationalisation regulations through the Nitaqat system to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.
Business Development & Sales Growth:
  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities to expand the Airswift customer base in KSA.
  • Increase sales performance by implementing targeted strategies and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Continually review business strategy and proactively assess potential risks.
Operational Efficiency & Service Delivery:
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Continuously review and enhance operational efficiencies to optimise workflow and service quality.
  • Visit satellite offices and client work sites regularly to assess operations and strengthen client relationships.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local supply chains and service providers, including accommodation, transportation, and professional services firms.
Team Leadership & Organisational Development:
  • Develop and lead the KSA team, driving professional performance and team development.
  • Recruit and onboard local support staff to manage logistics and administrative functions.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and mentorship programs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Strong operational management experience, preferably within the recruitment industry.
  • Excellent business development skills with a proven track record in sales growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market in KSA and experience with overseas business operations.
  • Strong working relationships with local governmental and statutory bodies.
  • Hands-on experience establishing a new business setup, including governmental registrations and structuring.
  • Experience managing nationalisation programs such as Nitaqat.

  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to work with budgets and financial reports.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced presentation and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional diligence, particularly in managing contracts and client requirements.

Market Presence & Community Engagement:

  • Participate in and sponsor community business and social events where appropriate.
  • Network and promote Airswift within local communities, maintaining sensitivity to political and cultural dynamics.
