Role Description
The Billing Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate invoicing process for Airswift clients in the Americas Region. This role involves supervising, developing, motivating, and mentoring a team to guarantee that invoicing is completed promptly, comprehensively, and with precision. The Billing Lead collaborates with various functions within Airswift, including Operations, Accounting, and Accounts Receivables, to handle a high volume of invoicing, resolve escalated issues, and cultivate an environment focused on exceptional customer service and efficiency. Adaptability and a quick learning curve are essential for success in this role.
It's a hybrid schedule (3 days at the office per week) in Rio de Janeiro - Cinelândia.

Role Description
The Billing Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate invoicing process for Airswift clients in the Americas Region. This role involves supervising, developing, motivating, and mentoring a team to guarantee that invoicing is completed promptly, comprehensively, and with precision. The Billing Lead collaborates with various functions within Airswift, including Operations, Accounting, and Accounts Receivables, to handle a high volume of invoicing, resolve escalated issues, and cultivate an environment focused on exceptional customer service and efficiency. Principle Accountabilities:
- Streamline and oversee the billing process across multiple contract types.
- Manage and develop a team of 4-6 individuals, including enhancing the management capabilities of direct reports.
- Provide hands-on training and collaborate with operations to identify and implement process improvements.
- Prepare reports for the biweekly core billing cycle and month-end closing.
- Collaborate with the collections team to research and resolve billing issues or discrepancies, working closely with the sales and operations departments to ensure accuracy and contract compliance of disputed items.
- Plan and execute quality assurance initiatives for all processes.
- Ensure that team productivity, compliance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify problems, propose alternatives, recommend solutions, and implement approved solutions.
- Assist management with ad-hoc projects.
- Responsible for implementing and documenting regional policies and procedures while ensuring adherence to applicable group policies and procedures.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Billing.
- Brazilian billing process (local taxes), strong knowledge is required.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of people management experience.
- Preferred experience with third-party payer guidelines, billing practices, and reimbursement practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor staff.
- Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills to evaluate situations, present conclusions, and recommend action plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
