Role Description

The Head of Group Treasury Operations will work closely with and deputise for the Group Treasury Director, overseeing the Central Treasury team and managing the functional reporting line for three regional treasury managers. This global role, with a flexible work schedule, requires the ability to collaborate across multiple time zones and manage the Airswift Group’s working capital and funding needs. You’ll optimise cash usage, ensure compliance with bank covenants, and establish robust procedures for cash forecasting, banking, FX, and treasury risks. This is an opportunity to lead a critical function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work with Regional finance teams to deliver new funding methods and facilities across the group.
  • Work with central and regional teams on renewal and replacement of facilities as required around the group to include, but not limited to: Receivable finance, Revolver loans, Invoice Discounting, Promissory notes.
  • Work closely with regional teams to plan and manage the cash requirements across the group.
  • Maximise currency usage and minimise foreign exchange costs around the Group.
  • Manage any hedging arrangements that may be sought.

Cash Forecasting:

  • Control and provide accurate Country, Regional and Consolidated Group Cash forecasting, both short term and long term as necessary by the Airswift Group.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain procedures and controls on key forecasting elements in short term and long term forecasting models (revenue, receipts, payroll and AP, etc), to ensure consistent application of methodology across the group.
  • Maintain and improve dialogue and understanding of cash flows and requirements of the Airswift entities globally.
  • Promote a ‘team’ ethic between the Regional and Central staff, so the treasury function as a whole works seamlessly as one team.

Facility Management, Audits & Compliance:

  • Monitor and report covenant requirements on all credit lines and borrowing facilities across the group, ensuring adherence to all facility covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Be the lead on bank audits for the group, working closely with regional treasury managers and central teams to ensure successful audit completions.
  • With the Group Treasury director, build relationships with bank client managers and facility providers.
  • Drive the decision making of the group to minimise borrowing costs, interest costs and cash held locally by Regions and their legal entities.
  • Meet the funding needs of the business by ensuring collaboration of regions on their funding needs and requirements across the group.

Expert knowledge of Airswift Term Loans and Working Capital Financing arrangements:

  • Correspond with lenders.
  • Understand and interpret contracts.
  • Ensure correct accounting treatment.
  • Calculate and review covenants and ratios.
  • Meet deadlines to provide information to the Board.
  • Monthly and Quarterly reporting as required by funding parties.
  • Group entity changes and amendments to contracts.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in international cash forecasting and controls.
  • Experience in a similar Treasury role.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Knowledge of foreign Exchange and International Operations.
  • Knowledge of Borrowing and Funding arrangements.
  • Experience using Dynamics D365.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral, with an ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally from the Airswift Group.
  • Ability to manage staff remotely and encourage operational practices to align with group policy.
  • Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to view things from a strategic perspective.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/DipTM/AMCT Qualified Accountant or treasury professional or Master's degree in finance/accounting.
